After RIM, India Targets Google and Skype

After pressing the RIM Blackberry, India will blow away the pressure to some other companies, namely Google and Skype. “We had sent a letter to Google and Skype that they also want to put a server in India and allows working with government and law enforcement authorities to access the data in it,” said Secretary GK Pillai Minister of Home Affairs, as quoted by Yahoo News, Thursday (second / 9 / 2010).

Answering these challenges, a spokesman for Google in India claimed to be reviewing these policies and give responses if such liability if applicable. Securities analyst at Wunderlich thinks if the government of India should issue a policy to provide a uniform behavior of all existing companies.

Currently India itself has provided the suspension of the Blackberry RIM service blocking. The reason RIM is committed to providing the requested access to the information coming in India in the Blackberry. Previously, Nokia had expressed their consent to be entered into a server in India.
