Incredibly Inspirational

This guy I went to college with ended up becoming a prominent researcher in his field. Every time I’d go over and visit his house I’d see all of these model engine kits lying around in various stages of completion. He says that they’ve always been his hobby ever since he was a little kid, and now that he’s an adult, what he does is take parts from several of them and try to create something incredibly new. He says it’s his version of playing chess, which is something that I didn’t understand because I never really wanted to play that game.

He just bought his son a microscope for kids, which I thought was an incredibly inspirational gift to give a child. As long as he can stick with it and use it as often as possible, one day he’ll be able to be a big famous researcher just like his father. As I was leaving that night I ended up seeing a couple of other things that caught my eye on the way out. My buddy told me he was designing a new gadget for this company that he couldn’t talk about, and I also saw a bunch of electronics kits scattered about outside.
